Chronologically, Gordon graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1991 with a Bachelor of Accounting, and qualified three years later as a Chartered Accountant (CPA equivalent) whilst training with Ernst & Young. Thereafter, he gained further experience in controller roles with Relayfast Ltd, the first privatised company within British Rail, and Havelock Europa, the UK's leading shopfitters. A deep-rooted entrepreneurial streak transitioned Gordon to VFactO plc, a startup IT and new media company, as CFO in 2000, followed by five years with Alfred McAlpine Business Services, covering financial and commercial activities for the rapidly expanding IT Services' division.

In 2007, Gordon left to start his own consulting business, and rapidly grew this over eighteen months, enjoying the varied lifestyle of managing his own business, and being able to identify with many of the issues facing his clients. In 2009, with an eye to expand to the US, he took on the intensive One Year MBA at Babson College, the #1 ranked school worldwide for entrepreneurship for the last eighteen years, with the One Year programme voted #2 in the US and #5 globally for fast-track MBAs. Gordon graduated Summa Cum Laude, finishing 3rd in a class of 81, and being awarded the Babson Leadership Award for the One Year programme, as well as being appointed an Ambassador for Graduate Admissions in the inaugural year of this initiative. He now operates from New York City and Glasgow, Scotland.

Personally, Gordon enjoys most sports, but primarily football (soccer), rugby, golf and skiing. He also enjoys flying and scuba diving, and travel is a real passion. Believing that pirates were just entrepreneurs of their time without the funding, with an addiction to risk and excitement over the pursuit of riches, he has been seen as Jack Sparrow for various Halloween and Mardi Gras festivities. Gordon is also a qualified massage therapist and Reiki practitioner, having spent two winter seasons in Verbier, Switzerland, relieving aching skiing muscles, and continues this in his spare time. He is also involved in coaching life skills to youths, helping them to improve confidence and learn personal and business skills to improve their lives.

Bungee jumping in a kilt, white water rafting and ziplining through rainforests in Costa Rica, surfing lessons at age 40, life is never dull when you are around Gordon. And with a unique personality and strong business and entrepreneurial skills, he will provide your business with new ideas, different challenges, and performance improvement. He looks forward to working with you.
